Employment in Haulage
needing some help guys
Right i've saved my pennies and have enough to do my license now for classes 1 & 2 or C & C+E, however im worried about earnings to hours ratio ( i dont mind long periods driving and def would worry too much about long distance) where i am just now are predicting trouble for the industry as a whole though and im a bit nervy at taking the jump.
Can anybody give me advice on this in general?
Many thanks in advance
(slightly confused) Pete

tramping you would be doing well to get 8-10 squid an hour imo. but often doing 60-70 hour weeks. which sounds alot but a fair chunk of that will be spent asleep waiting to be unloaded.
your only prob will be if you have just passed your test, most places want 2 years experience. and the ones that dont pay shit money.
not a bad job but imo is getting worse with all the new rules and regs and speed cams blah blah blah.
any questions just ask and I will try and help.
