4x4 how do u know if the heater matrix is knackered?

the hose from the back of the head to the oil cooler you mean?

disconect the to hoses from the heater and flush the heater with a garden hose, then you see if this is fucked.

ok
take the pipes off the heater matrix and put a hose pipe at one end
if water flows nice then the heater matrix is fine, if it diesnt come out or in little dribbles then its blocked and ou need a new one

just took the silver tube that runs along engine near turbo from the thermo housing to matrix and turned engine over

not a single bit of water is coming out of thermo housing when running

ok put a hose in the one entrance to matrix and it com out the other pipe nicely!
there is no water coming out the thermostat housing to the matrix or does it go in the other direction?

as far as i know theres to holes in the pump
one which it gets its water supply from the pipe that runs along the rad
then it gets pumped into the stat housing
from there i dont know eher it goes

Try and flush it out with a garden hose! Do that and then you can cross a blockage off your list (if it doesnt work) and it's free to try!

next task is to put a hose in the heater matrix and leave the one that goes to oil cooler and then see if it come out the oil cooler?
