I expect that the first quote was a starting salary, the second a present one.

Sorry - should have been clearer. At Honda i had a basic salary but also had race bonuses, quarterly reviews etc. Meant that i could almost double my 'take home' annually with all the extras.

My basic salary at RC is slightly higher but obviously without race bonuses.

So yes, i am taking home less a year than i was

the attitude of MSD i think it is very commendable, in the sense that they are willing to consider all applicants regardless of qualiifications etc thus giving someone a chance who may not get a break or a lookin elsewhere, i just employed a new guy at my work and had to fight realy really hard just to get him an interview due to my manager who was one of them people who doesnt consider anyone unless they have qualifications etc

great job i reackon for someone willing to knuckle down and put in some hard work and learn

Hi stu,...

my lil bro is interested,...

hes done a year of mechanics at college, and loves cars, which i know that isnt qualifications, but hes willing and keen, and can make brews like you wouldnt believe...lmao...

he does need training, but will work for less than boschman sells his ass.....
now that is cheap...

in all seriousness, he hasnt got any of the skills nic has, but would love the opportunity to impress you and to learn....

hes 18, and although hes got a saxo, hes not a chav tosser.....

This is a great chance to learn the tuning industry. I reckon it would even be worth the move up to blackpool to learn in this job.
My rs turbo would love the education from something like this!

Id really love a job like this, REALLY.

I wouldnt mind the move up Blackpool either, could do with a change of the same old routine

My problem is i have no written proof of any motoring skills etc

Ive been brought up with and around fords as my dad was a mechanic at fords for 23 years, hes an old-school type mechanic, always thinks 1st and prefers to fix things rather than replace something.

I'll not apply as i havnt got any proof as mention above but if i sound anything like let me know Stu

Hi everyone, just a quick update so you all know your not being ignored.

We are absolutely rammed busy at the moment so have been unable to spare the amount of time and concentartion recruitment deserves, but we are hoping to select from our current applications around 4 suitable applicants for the first stage interviews (Telephone) sometime next week all being well.

Thanks for all your PMs and CV's.
Any further Cv's and contact details can be sent to sales@remapping.co.uk
Previous PM applicants who have yet to supply a contact telephone number could also send them to teh above e-mail address if possible, to save me Pming and asking you.

Many thanks.

Ok, we have over 50 applicants which i will shortlist and then conduct a telephone interview, by hopefuly, the end of this week. Please can i re-itterate the above message and add teh fact now that if i dont have your CV, you will not be selected due to the number of applicants off this forum alone!!

Over half have used their initiative and sent them across anyway, but the other half, well, simply havent. So, if your still interested, now is your last chance to mail your CV to me.
