they still talk about it in the mag, its still in progress.

seems its been being built for countless years, like 20odd or summat? i thought it was summat they recently started, but seems its not now.

still sceptical its gonna do anything worthwhile tho

they were starting it up on the hour on the stand at goodwood. i was having a chat with one of the guys from the mag waiting, when they started it.

at the time, they hadn't told us it was finished except for the exhaust, which ran with open pipes straight from the manifolds to just behind the front wheels!

if you've ever heard a normal engine run with no silencers, you can imagine what a 27litre v12 sounds like...

my mate was taking pics and he said i jumped a foot in the air

19 years and 2 divorces apprently

was talking to charlie at goodwood, who said its taken so long, because of changes, thoughts about aerodynamics and other such issues, as all the bolts beeing a diffrent size, and neither metric or imperial, so very single engine bolt thread as been changed, as well as things like rockers having to be made, as you just cant buy them

also he said he needs to do a major inlet rethink, as the turbos he's been given, wont fit

actually its a crap idea allround, as there is some english bloke, with a 9L , possible a corvert lump twin turbo'd road legal car 2500bhp, something like that was on top gear?

so the 27L twinturbo, better be 5000bhp min road legal, or im not interested

I dont think you could get 1000bhp+ any easier than with a 27litre petrol engine TBH, not even 50bhp per litre, the worst tuned crock of shit in the world could manage that.

Main issue is fitting it all.

Most sensible option would be a Ford or Chevy V8 and a turbo or two, but they not doing it just to get 1000bhp, its done for the wow factor.

9.3L V-8, 2200bhp and 0-60 in 1 second

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNlG6NVJBEc

so that sd1 better do 60 in 0.5 seconds or im not interested
