Raced an F40 tonight!
In my stage 2 Saph. WOW! Awsome machine Was cruising along the dual carriage way in outside lane at about 80 when I looked in rear view mirror to see a wide as u like F40 slowly gaining on me. Waited till he was quite close pulled to inside lane, dropped into 4th and nailed it.....................He left me like I was going backwards spitting blue flames at me as he disappeared! Caught him up further down the road pulled alongside gave the passenger a nod (was left hand drive) and he laughed and gave me the thumbs up. Got to the end of the road, swapped lanes so drivers side next to drivers side and both nailed it onto a round about side by side about 3 feet apart! Driver looked across laughing at me, gave me a nod and fooked off round the round about as I went straight on! Was a proper cool experience
Always been one of me favourite cars, even more so now!
Looked mental
Sounded mental
Went not bad too, LOL

Not sure. Was too much in awe to notice the plate! Dont think it was a private plate or anything. Yeh this sounded mad. Could still hear it like it was right next to me when he was 35-40 metres in front and disappearing fast!
Respect to him for giving it some!

One of my neighbours had an F40. Actually he had 40 odd Ferrari's.
Every Sunday we could sit in the village and watch Ferrari's of all different types and ages driving past. Awesome sight

My old Ford crate started miss firing at around 130 but you were about 3 miles in front by then anyway!
I was on my way up to the North Staffs RS Owners meeting @ The Rookery Wood in Crewe.
( feel free to come up to the next meeting on the 1st Tuesday of the month and take me for a spin!! LOL)
Couldnt believe it when I saw you coming up behind me. Exhausts sound amazing and the blue flames are a nice touch!!
What sort of power is it running then?

F40s are fucking ace, my fave purely as they turbo, and i love turbo anything for some reason.
See tons of rarris round here, 355s and 360s every bloody day, even seen a F50 twice here, but only ever a F40 once on the road.

RSBen, RE: Power - I think it's around 510BHP, TUBI Exhaust and 1100Kgs (without my fat gut in it).
I drive an M3 CSL day-to-day, and it's fuckin ruined now by that F40 - it just seems so quiet and crap now (it's not, but relatively!) LOL

And, ok, so your cossie got beaten, but I still think the cosworth is the better day to day car, sits 4 in comfort and was obviously more than upto prompting the F40 driver to have a play....... (He'd have driven past me laughing, not booting it.... ) Having discovered what (I think) the F40 driver does for a living, I've concluded I'm in the wrong job!
