Just sorting out a load of stuff in the house, and getting rid of the crap, and looked up at my VHS collection, unsure what the hell to do with it!

Probably like most, it varies from complete collections of Friends, through loads of classic 80s films etc

Loathed to throw them all away, and it would appear they aren't worth anything either..... do hospitals, kids hospices etc take VHS stuff, as it would seem a more worthy option than binning 250 videos?!

ive the same problem,got about 200 sitting in a corner ansd the pile keeps getting bigger as i buy more dvds and throw the vhs off the shelf.i thought about donating it somewhere but most are 18 rated horror stuff

I've looked on Ebay, and they're not worth the hassle of even listing as none of them sell.

Charity shops may take them, but I've had one charity shop turn them down, as they take up too much space and don't sell.

just put them on as a whole lot or take them to a second hand music shop they usually buy them

you can get the lead in any radio shack store..

Ł10 with scart on one end & yellow white red plugs other end..

mines got a switch ontop of the scart for input or output

sending the signal ..but ive only done vhs to dvd

and picture quality was 100%


anybody need the specs ..ask and will get them for YOU

cheep vhs 2 dvd ..but you need a dvd recorder with the Y/W/R input first

i still watch alot of mine as i tend to only replace the real classics that i watch alot with dvd.but i have a load that ive replaced.im just leaving them on my shelf or gonna out them in the loft.they aint worth shit but i dont want to just chuck them.
you could always try a boot sale

If you do take them to a charity shop or a hospital, make sure you keep hold / destroy the ones where you're hanging out the back of your girlfriend / wife / boyfriend / dog / donkey..... etc etc

Your local hospital should take them, go into the kids ward and ask if they want to set up a table selling them for 50p each or whatever, in their waiting area
