If you wanna bad-boy it mate, you go ahead. It's your car. Don't listen to the nasty men.
One piece of advice I would say: get another bonnet to do it on. That way you have your original if you want to put it back standard. You'll have more choice of colour as it'll need painting anyway so can colour-change the whole lot plus any rust on the 2nd one can be sorted at the same time.
There's plenty of examples around, but they generally go from the corner of the bonnet to the corner of the centre section, straight across. Nice and simple for any bodyshop to sort.

I had a red S2 years ago when they were the cars to have ( cossies were far to expensive and nobody could insure them! ) and thinking about looking for another one just to have as a weekend toy and looking at this pic has just made up my mind and really want one now
Looks mega clean and must have been a proper minty paint job was it ?
Them rims look really nice on it as well.

Just knock em up out of some thin sheet metal mate, trial and error thats what I did!
Had mine on my XR3i over 6 years ago, came out just fine after some work!
