Default Why do people do this..............

........advertise something for sale, and put 'offers' instead of the price they want?

I mean they obviously they know how much they want for their car roughly so why not just say!!!

Then it goes on and on and they keep saying make an offer and when you give them a figure, they get all angry saying its not enough!!!!

WHY NOT JUST SAY HOW MUCH YOU WANT FOR IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!

This always pisses me of also

If your selling a car people want to know

1, the spec
2, the location
3, the price
4, a contact number

I also hate Price on aplication this means its massivly overpriced and they havent got the balls to put it up

I hate it when you are interested but they dodnt give a phone number

I find it a little strange when selling cars too

parts is a little different cos pricing them up can be awkward, but generally you should have a figure in your head your happy with

if your selling a car you usually have 3 figures in mind;

1) what the car is worth to you,i.e. what you'd like to get for it.
2) the lowest offer your happy to take for it
3) the lowest you can AFFORD to go on it.

If the following information is not COMPLETLY obvious to me when looking for a car. I will simply look elsewhere.

Tax/Test if applicable
Mileage if applicable
Year
Spec
PRICE
Location
Contact phone number

The rest you can ask but any extra information is helpfull.

The best way to NOT sell a car is to stick a sticker in the window or piece of orange card and simply write on it.

FOR SALE
07XXX XXXXXX

Agreed- the RS2k I sold on ebay recently.

I paid £400 so that is the lowest it I could afford to sell for- obv I wouldn't
The car was worth in my eyes £600 and I would have liked to get that.
The lowest I would have accepted was £500
I took £584

job done.

Just had another muppet get really angry with me on ebay. They said they dont know how much the cars worth so said make an offer, ended up going round in circles so i offered him a silly offer of £200 as he was annoying me, and he starts abusing me calling me all sorts saying he wants at least £1000. Why not just say that in the first place!!!

So it seems thats the best way to do it. Just offer a stupid amount and theyll end up telling you their lowest price.
