reminds me of my mate who told me once that he didnt care if a 911 turbo would beat his scooby in a 1/4 mile he was content in the fact a standard scooby would hit 200mph! and he was serious!!!!
the focus doesnt exist, and how can it have been measured at 450bhp if it maxed out the dyno?and what shite dyno did they use?

Its not I have the picture somewhere its 194 on the Road Angle he did say it was downhill and a tail wind, the car is undergoing work at the moment Ian has built it for 500 bhp then I think ad said its having 50 shot of gas.
The first build was buit by PE and Matt (Guzzler knows the car), Ad tells me that he wants 200mph at least hence the rebuild, Also Ians car will then smash that one when its done.

It's already booked in for a feature with Performance Ford as I understand, that will have the proper timing stuff etc there so I guess that will be prove.
Just wait and see.. Getting grip might be an issue.

When are these guys going to realise that normal Nitrous systems are as good as a chocalate tea pot for Topspeed, they are OK for a 10 sec drags down the strip but after 20secs or so the pressure has fallen drastically & they are not very effective, been there, done that. To get a Focus or indeed any car to 200mph will require at least 650bhp all the way down, 750bhp to be sure. Ask Fensport, Simon Norris or any one else thats done it.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
The VW Phaeton has 450hp and can be made to do 200.... its not really got anything to do with power, its a mixture of powertrain and drivetrain, aswell as overcoming the forces of all the different types of drag.
The Mclaren did 212 didnt it?
JAmes.

imo top speed challanges on short straight seem piontless as the cars must have more speed in them given more straight therefore it's not really the top speed is it. i'd be much more interested in finding out how fast cars go untill they stop going any faster

i think thats what people are not realising, offical 'top speed' runs are done on around a 2 mile stretch, it would seem the said car had a lot more room than this

10K+ Poster!!
Do you know the inside and out of Andys car, Rod?
I have seen it up close a few times and doesnt look THAT mental for the times/speeds it does.
it weight fook all, less than 1000kgs i think.
he has never had it power tested but when cornered about power he says 700.
he also runs the same ratio box for 1/4 and VMAX
what else makes it so quick?
