Default ebay scam help

right my mate has sold his old mobile on the super great fleebay

was at 62 quid for ages then as usual rocketed up to 700 and odd quid by a nigerian bidder

my friend isnt savvy with the workings of ebay and emailed this scammer and said 100 quid for the phone is a fair price so this bloke has put 100 quid plus 30 quid for postage in his paypal account

where does he go from here ?

also the fees for selling the phone are sommat like 25 quid from ebay, how does he sort that ?

Matt

My friend has had the same problem but the money isn't in her account and 'apparently' paypal sent her a email saying the money has been taken out of the buyers account and is pending and won't transfer until she puts in a sent item reference!

We soon found out from pay pal that they didn't send the email it was a fake one from the buyer!!

Get your friend to double check the payment has gone through for sure otherwise his gonna be out of pocket! Report it to paypal and ebay and relist his phone it should cost him any more money!

Fucking scammer tossers!

Get him to send the last genuine bidder a 2nd chance offer, reject the scammers money and report the scammer for an unpaid item.

Job done and he gets his fees reduced.
