i think that the cossie springs are rated higher but are shorter while the 4i springs are ongers but softer
does that makes sense?

the spring rate for the cossie is (from memory) 140lb/in and the one for the 4i is (again, from memory) 105lb/in
but the cossie spring is shorter so that it won't compress as much
the 4i spring is longer but softer so it will compress more but it should be the same ride height
as someone who knows a tad more than me about what this will do you'll probably find that the cossie springs will firm up the ride in the 4i but it may sit a bit lower than normal overall

I was hoping that you would say the actual damper lengths that the sprongs sit in are identical

Mine has standard cossie ride height springs, poly bushes and a cossie front ARB.

the 4wd springs are margianly different again to the 2wd cars but i'm not sure how much sfitter they wuld be as they have to support the extra weight
which V8 is it under the bonnet? if it's a rover they tend to be the same sort of wieght as the cossie anyway
