it wasnt when i fitted mine cos as i said before i measured the gap
like i said deflex made them, and say it goes on top, and the grp a ones are tried and tested with the spacer on top....
but i guess that means it goes underneath
if the spacer has to always be fitted underneath, why didnt they make it part of the bush? it doesnt have to be used.only some need it.

Also,if some cars don't need the spacer, the beam will sit in the same place as mine
So the spacer logically goes underneath,so it puts the beam in the same position if you use the spacer or not

That lip on those solid bushes looks no where near as big as the Deflex spacer bush
Can't be arsed cause your wrong
Whats your thoughts on where the beam would sit IF you didn't need to use the spacer m8?????????????
Underneath they go.............................

it doesnt need to be big its alloy...... and solid.......
if im wrong...so are deflex....and they designed the bush. they should know where its meant to go
im guessing but i think the different beam mounting position may be dependant on rear diff mounting choice... so the beam will sit straight with or without it. depending on how low the diff mount sits.
on the pic of the white one ,to me the beam is at an angle ,cos the diff mount is lower than the beam mounts. so the spacer goes on top to straighten it.

It could be on an angle thinking about it,but thats because picture was taken with NO diff fitted,so the back end of beam will be hanging down
Beam is deffo straight as the car sits now

i was right
just to help out, if it does... i fitted my solid bushes today, and also used the poly bits..
Ok, so got the solid bushes and fitted them ,came across a few things with them on the way that may help others when fitting them
The bushes were simple to fit ,but when bolted up the weight of the car was only on a small part of the bush, i could see over a period of time driving on the road this would damage if not break the chassis at this point, and when it was bolted up there was a gap which was big enough to put a finger in between the bush and the body ,the bush only contacted the body on the small center part you can see in the pic.
now looking at the deflex bushes, they came with a extra piece that sits on top the poly bush.....
can you see whats coming?
combine the two, and the bush sits perfectly over the alloy bush, even has the cut out section to allow the alloy bush to sit into it!, when bolted up this makes the surface area greater so shouldnt damage the chassis, and also for road use may help to reduce vibration and road noise a little. 8)
when bolted up it looks like this
zero gap betwwen bush all round and the body 8)
and there is no movement in the bush now 8) 8) 8)
