The ST is now so popular they've removed it from The Ford Privilege Scheme that we can get through work.
Think my brother in-law is well chuffed as he got his ST3 with everything on it for £15k just before they removed it off the list.

i take it you work at ford then..?
i work for a company who just uses a broker for the company cars and a couple of years back changed the rules which allowed 'normal' emplyees to purchase cars at teh sme rate, and the payment come directly out at payroll.

there is the small issue of interest.....
do i put 5K down and not have a loan and have the car on that finance deal for 200 a month for 4 years,
OR get a loan and buy it cash at that price, BUT the monthly payments over the same time are 300 a month...
after 4 yeras on the work deal, i can either give it back or buy it with the final payment of about 6K. but im sure in 4 years they will still be worth more than 6K

but thats my point, why pay nearly new price for second hand when literally for another 1500 you have a brand new one..
i said i'd never ever have a brand new car out of principle - but i may be eating my words in the next few days

Dave,
I see what you are saying. Maybe worth stumping up the extra if its a car
you intend keeping for a long time.
As for me, I didnt think of that. I just drove past a garage and saw my
car and just bought it without even taking a test drive.
It was being cleaned by a fit bird at the time though

but if its 1 owner less, and has 10K less miles for the same age car, what would you buy in 4 years?
i think i've missed what i posted it up for now,,
what i want to know is REALLY :
is the discounted price my work have given actually that discounted, as in even though there are second hand ones on the market for that money, ARE they actually selling for that money? and would a dealer give the same price for a cash sale with no part x?
