Right, jumped in the car today and stright away ar tickover from cold the oil pressure starts flucuating slowly from 20psi to 70psi. It would go up 10 psi (my gauge only shows in 10psi intervals) then slowly climb, then slowly rise etc...

The engine itself is ticking over prefectly, no noises, no smoke and recnt oil change. The car drivres prefectly. The oil pump is around 4k miles old, and the gauge has never read like this before. Am i being naive in thinking this is a faulty sender or gauge problem?

Checked the connection etc... and everything seems fine as well.

Any suggestions?
