Default **Racing Puma** - where to get brake discs from???

Hi all,

A friend has a Racing Puma - she needs new front brake discs. She's been quoted £410 for a pair from I think Pumaspeed.

That's crazy money. Anyone know where to get some cheaper / more sensible money?

Bare in mind the car comes with Alcon brakes as standard, so I think the discs from Partco or wherever may not fit.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Si

Good suggestion Bill... noted! Time for some PMs me thinks.

Was hoping someone would say "They are the same as Alfa brakes - £50 from the main dealer" or someit

I really hope Alcon discs aren't the only option....

Hmmm

IIRC Pumabuild sell the Alcons at £210 each, but also they sell Red Dot discs for FRP's and i think they are £258 for both of them together

I think those are for the rear of the car, as it says the diameter is 270mm and the standard FRP Front discs are 330mm

Ok, another option sorted care of man of the moment MATT LEWIS!

He can do the same £410 Alcon discs as Pumaspeed, but for £365 posted to me!

That's more like it.

So now I have Matt's £365 Alcon option
Or db6245's suggestion of £330 Reddot discs

Anyone else have any ideas?

Si

Upgarade to Brembo's and forget the horrendously priced discs and brake services you have to have with the shit Alcon Stuff

If you keep the car more than a few years it'll pay for it'self

That did cross my mind to be honest,
i think Ford learnt a lesson using

Alcon as they switched pretty darm quickly to Brembo's on the RS Focus!!!

You could always sell ur brakes to some muggins on the fiesta forums too to get some money back. They will just see FRP and go crazy for them, regardless that they're a pain in the ass
