my car does alot of talking for AVA.

just a basic t4 build but makes mental power due to the attention to detail the guys put in.

if you want a fast RS then get your self to AVA

I get all my work done by Adrew gallacher but in the past i have had power runs done by ava & so has Andrew..But euans car was a big eye opener for me when it comes to ava..as in the past i heard a few bad stories but i think they were ppl that wanted 200bhp out of rs turbos that had been to the moon & back & bags of crap...They do know their stuff tho & if you give them the right cash & do it their way they will come through for you...

i used to take my volvo 850 t5r up and they seemed brand new and very helpfull so when i fucked my gearbox on the escossie i booked it in.

spoke to colin and alan and asked them to look at a few things to look at and generally check it over.

colin asked if i wanted it on the rollers i said yes BUT when i cum to pick it up and im there!!!no problem was the reply.

felt happy leaving it in there safe hands.

then 3 days later got a call from colin saying my engine was making noises and was basically fucked.i asked how did this happen to be told on the rollers.now this engine never missed a beat in the 8 months i had it and 2 of my friends also used it so it did get used.

i was well pissed saying i spesifically told them not to do this until i was there!!!
alan told me he wanted to try the box out thats why it was on the rollers and theyed tryed to start it and the noises got worse until it wouldnt start causing more damage.
then said he THOUGHT my box was perfectly ok and just a slight noise but very normal.asking if i wanted them to strip the engine.

needless to say they didnt me and a mate went up in a flat bed and dropped it straight at andy gallachers workshop.

he stripped it to find the big ends fucked, crank, block etc etc.so it got a new block crank, rods, pistons etc then the box got rebuilt.
the main shaft was fucked as were 2nd and 3rd and acording to allan they were fine???

ma car got alot of work done by andy angine box, bushed, suspension, brakes and a fair bit more and i couldnt praise him enough.hes got a no builshit attitude and he tells you the truth.i wouldnt take ma car anywhere else now.

so no i dont really rate them maybe i had a bad experience but funnily enough since then ive been told of alot of peoples cars blown on there rollers.

Think you will struggle to find a tuner that hasnt had an engine go pop on them at some time or other, its just that people always remember the bad things.

Sounds like they just sat in neutral without the fan on and screwed the bleed valve open to see what would happen again...

cant believe they keep doing that... lol

"blew my car up on the rollers"

Thats like saying u run 10 miles a day every day and the time u ran on a tread mill with a Doctor watching u with a Heart rate monitor and blood pressure equipment on you, you died... must be the fault of the doctor...

im well interested in the reason they managed to break all these cars.

Put car on rollers pressure throttle listen for det. - nice n simple... as apposed to on the road where u do what? Not press the throttle?

thot so

I do most of my work to my car my self ( well try ) but any time i need a check up i use them, they seem to be strict on what they say and do, and its proved to be a winner for them ( just look at euan ) plus your always gony get a cars let go on your rollers, they always go through the procedures of asking what fuel , oil, and that sort of stuff before you go on

Some times i used to think they were like, if its not there way its the wrong way but i was just being ignorant to the fact that they no better than me and to take there advice in future

All round i think there good

most peoples grumbles with them is mostly cos there car never makes what they were told it was
and engines can fail at any time,if you take the percentage of cars theyve had on there rollers to how many have failed i think you will see its minimal, also these cars are getting took to the limit and trying to get as much bhp as possible and in most cases your 100k miler is not gonna last long on full chat

get the thumbs up from me

Was only jokin Euan if i didnt trust them my car wouldnt be sitting there justnow. Like i said think you would struggle to find a tuner that hasnt had a motor let go on them at some point.

alan would be talkin wheel power and tbh 260@wheels on a t25 on any injector would struggle i would imagine, not a cossie expert by any means but think the t25 would struggle to produce that power
