wheres the best position for a lambda sensor?

im about to drill a whole in my downpipe, where the best place to put the lambda?
as close to the turbo as i can? or a little bit away from it?

well in the late saffs and escort cossies they are in the exhaust housing on the turbos.

be ok near the top of the downpipe.

does it have to be at a certain angle or position?
so can i fit as near to turbo as poss, at any place around the zorst pipe?

just found out it needs to be between the 3 and 9 oclock position, to stop condensation forming on the tip of the sensor.
