Default cossy tyre advice

what tyres do people rate for a 2wd saff with 18's (tyre size 215 35 18) i run nankang ns2's at the mo. to be honest i dont really drive anywhere near the limits of the car & the nankangs are fine for me. the only real problem with them is i can never get the tyres to seal to the rims. every time they are re sealed they only last for about 2 weeks before they start going down again. could this be a problem with the powder coating on the wheels or the bead of the tyre?

what do you mean by scary? have you done many miles on them? how does your saff handle on 18's. (mine handles crap compared to when it was on 17's) looks nice though

Ref the bead sealing problem.....

I had the same problem a few years ago... seemed every week I was taking the tyres off, cleaning the rim and resealing them. What I ended up doing was removing every single bit of paint from the sealing edge of the rim and smearing silicon on there instead of bead seal..... once I'd done that they never went flat again

T1R is the "racing" version of the T1S has a harder outer edge to prevent the edges rubbing off, and a slightly different tread pattern,

aswell as being a better compound
