Default New product line.. whos interested...

There is a new product on the market and im interested to know who will be realistically interested in purchasing one.

Its a Weber Marelli serial output monitor thats fully compatible with all current forms of Weber serial comms.
(Note: Not standard weber flashlamp codes)

The monitor is available as a standard version and also as a professional version. The monitor displays real-time engine management parameters. These include;

Engine RPM (rpm)
Coolant Temperature (ºC)
Charge Air Temperature (ºC)
Boost Pressure (absolute) (bar)
Battery Voltage (V)
Throttle Position (º)
Ignition Timing (º BTDC)
Fuel Injector Opening Time (mS)
Sensor Fault Detection
4 channels of analogue data (optional)

The monitor works with ‘Ford Cosworths’ that run the Magneti Marelli L8 or P8 ECU if the correctly configured chip is installed.

The cost for this version is £325+vat

Pro Version:
The professional version has all this plus:

DisplaysCurrent Ignition Map Address
Displays Current Fuel Map Address
Blanket Fuel Adjustment +/-
Blanket Ignition Adjustment +/-

This gives you the ability to add and remove fuel and/or spark advance from the engine whilst its running.

The cost for this version is £400+vat

Fucking hell yeah!!!

I assume it will only be compatable with Webber management systems? Cus I soooo want a system like that in the cab, been holding back on making a decision on the management untill I find out what the add-ons are like.

Stu does that monitor work with the closed loop system and the 750cc injector set up we will be using on my car? also I forgot to ask will the SECS monitor work on the same idea? if not I will probably replace it with what you are on about!

Thanks
Nick

SECS monitor works on adifferent principle as its compatible with all software but then doesnt show faults or allow adjustments.

Its not compatible with my closed loop software currently but im working on it.

As for you being amused by the colour scheme... how amused will you be if this 400+Bhp Dax Rush pulls up next to you at teh .lights.. any lights.. in fact, anywhere?

Anyone care to work out its power to weight ratio?

I'd say it's more akin to a Pectel Monitor than the current SECS monitor, esp. with the fuel/ign' trim..... Looks a good piece of kit - although maybe only sell the pro model to pro's ......

Depends if Noddy & Big Ears are in it, then I'd still be highly amused

Seems to do all that the Pectel Monitor does, will it display the CO-poteniometer value too? Does it need the pectel baby board to work?

Looks a bit big, what size is the LCD? Perhaps possible to mount display separately like Bill and ive done with our pectel monitors?

Can you tell us more about the 'correctly configured chip'. I run a stage 1, will that be correctly configured ???

Sounds too good to be true though.

More on the chip:
For many years, varios people have reconfigured the Marelli operating system to send out a serial datastream for use by monitors similar to teh above. probably the most common known in teh uk are Pectel of the early 80's although there are many others around europe utilising teh same system.

This monitor is compatible with this system and will work with all your Pectel systems providing the serial communications are switched on in the chip.

Folks requiring the professional version will also need to ensure their current engine software has dynamic adjustment enabled too. Also, i may not sell you the professional version unless you give me a good reason for you to require it. This is on moral grounds and to save me aggro when you call and say;

I added some spark and removed some fuel, did a topspeed run and now it runs funny.. what are you going to do about it stu?"

How does:
"ROFLMFAO" Sound as a reply?

No, the chip is not given away with teh hardware.
