Default water based paints - compatability

What can you successfully spray the new water based paints over the top of? 2K was a pain as it wasnt readily compatible with anything due to the solvents involved. Whats the story with the new stuff?

Could you fon instance spray it over single pack acrylic, or hammerite?

What do you mean? It's just like using xlyene based paints.....Exactly the same method (Maybe slightly longer for drying)

Any primer would be ok, whether it's a wet-on-wet , etch, high build...
The waterbased stuff would stick to it...No problem.

And as it does not have any solvent it will not react with what its being applied over

Thats what I wanted to hear, I know for instance you cant spray 2K over Celly or acrylic cans or anything, it was very specific. If the waterbased stuff is less stringent then Ill just rub it back smooth.

The waterbase stuff is quite good. As said above it won't react as it doesn't have driers in (which solvents paints require) for drying off...

Hope you have good results

whats the story woth safety? I assume you need a dust mask type affair to avoid the particulates, but as there are no solvents its quite safe?

How does it compare to celly for spraying with ( only thing Ive tried before)

I would still use the mask when spraying as particles and vapour can do damage aswell and the paint its-self

Safety first my man
