Belly Buttons! They are sooo strange whats the point of them, Well i know what they where for with birth etc but after that they are pointless why hasnt the body just sealed it up proper? Also how come you never see a belly button on any other animal

Get on with some work

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navel

And any animal that is nourished in the womb will have a belly button

Other mammals don't have belly buttons because they are not brought into this world by a midwife who clamps and cuts off the umbilical cord, the mother chews it off.
Not all humans have belly buttons, I suppose it's because the last statement might apply.

Funny topic

My ex had the most hideous looking belly button. I guess her Mum tried chewing it off ...she had teeth that looked like they belonged to an a chipmunk so it kind of adds up now

Animals DO have belly buttons, they are flat tho, but you can see them if you look closely/move the furr out the way!

in most mammals it appears only as a thin hairless line

So exactly what were you planning to do to this animal laying on it's back with you moving the fur out of the way?

I didnt have one till last year

*edited before ppl get confused*

Born with one, had a hernia.. docs got rid of that and my bellybutton left me with a 3- 4 inch scar instead.. had a bellybutton made out of the scar last year

1st time i ever touched it i felt sick, had never felt inside my bellybutton before (obvisouly) and it felt really weird
