There has been speculation for ages that it is Ben Collins, but no proof really. If it was him then surely they would have said the Stig is going to catch the parachuter and have him dressed in white rather than as Ben himself...
Wow and I thought that because it is known that the Stig wears size 10 racing boots as discovered by the Sunday Times when the Driving section wrote an article about the show and borrowed his boots and that Ben Collins does not wear size 10, along with the fact that Ben is currently racing an Ascari KZ1R Supercars in the new FIA GT3 European Championship with Team Damax and has a LeMans drive with the embassy racing 996 GT3 RSR would probably count him out of the filming schedule...... unless your suggesting the BBC re-schedule filming for a person nobody can identify and does not speak ?
The Ben Collins name comes round so often its a joke but nobody has ever provided any hard evidence to support the claim.
