Misfire under load??? - plugs, whats best?
My car decided to play up on the way home from Trax, and developed a misfire under load.
If I go above 4k it seems to clear itself but from 1-4k it only fires on 3....
The misfire isn't there on tickover, just on load
I've got Champion C57C plugs in there, just whipped them out and they're all intact, gonna do a compression test 2moro to make sure all is well, also checked the Motorsport leads over and theres no physical sign of damage on them, but gonna grab some more to make sure its not breaking down.
Anyone had this problem before? Its baffling me really, it was fine on the run up there...
I can get hold of another dizzy, leads, plugs, cap, rotor arm adn TPS if I have to....
It doesn't rain it feckin pours

I had a similar problem with mine - It was the plugs, must have been blowing the spark out. Only did it under load - it was fine under light acceleration but put your foot down and it missed like a bastard! New set of plugs cured that one and were about £6 from Ford!

I've been told these plugs and leads aren't good for my car really, so now seems a good time to change them...
Any recommendations? Bearing in mind I have access to Halfords and Fords and thats about it lol
Dave, wheres best to put a fuel pressure gauge on the MFi system?

finis code 1120834. I forget the plug number/code but its pointless as you'd only get a blank look when you ask for them anyway! supposed to be ok for stage 3 cossies but not much more. cheap as chips!!

check boost/inlet hoses for leaks!
MFi cars need precise vacuum/boost to run 100%, and probs like colapsed or hole`d pipes play havoc with running conditions, for obvious reasons.
as said, check/replace plugs + leads and also check dizzy cap and rotor arm as they normally get left out while folk diagnose faults.
Sean.

Mine was similar. Idled on 3 cyls and missed up to 2500 revs. Turned out to be the inlet gasket. Apparently quite common.
Now it splutters on full boost! Poxy Cossies!!
