Coz there is an Orange Focus St (06 plate) for sale in a Ford garage by work for £15995....

How much depreciation has occured on this car?

I just want to know.

 

I dont know what the proper price is....But a mate at work got family discount and got an ST3 for £16000 BRAND NEW.....56 plate

 

Prices vary so much, i lost alot when i sold mine. I'll never buy a new car again

 

I was a bit shocked at the price myself coz I thought they would of been at least £22 - 25k new so thats a £7 - 10k drop in 12 months

 

They weren't that much new mate.

I think it was :

ST-1 £17000
ST-2 £18000
ST-3 £19000

Roughly that, depending on extras...metalic paint's an extra £300, Orange was £800 extra ect

 

Shit my estimation was miles out

I thought they would be more than that, If its an ST1 then its not too bad of a drop but if its an ST3 it could be better.

Having said that I have never bought a brand new car so I aint really clued up on prices and depreciation.

 

Buy second hand mate, you'll get a much better deal.. Try and go for a ST-3, they hold their money a bit better, oh, and orange!

 

Im not buying one I was just passing and the price got me thinking.

Dont get me wrong if I had that sort of cash I would seriouly consider one but I would have to get a White / Magenta Saph Cosworth first

 

If you are going to get a brand new one haggle hard. I bought my ST-3 in orange for 16200. Didn't like it that much, sold it a week later for 18, which was nice..
