how do i get a recorded dvd uploaded onto my computer so i can get it on google or you tube,i manage fine with the digital video camera and my phone but cant seem to do it using the disc drive?

is the media on the disk viewable on a standard DVD player ?

DVDs have copy protection built in. You'll need a program that can copy the disc and strip the protection, then you may be able to upoad it.

However, you're looking at a bare minimum of 4G for a single sided single layer disc, that's alot to upload and no doubt Google, You tube etc will delete it when someone reports "Superman returns" for example on their system.
