Clio 197 not as slow as I first thought!!!
After my rather poor review of the clio yesterday just thought I'd stick up for it a little today
had a dual carriageway drag race with a 330 petrol beemer estate, and the little clio held its own all the way up to 110 at which point the beemer did seem to be gaining slightly, even so I was quite surprised to see the 330 badge on the back as he went past when I braked
just goes to show I guess how non turbo'd cars can be quite deceptive with regards their speed

Also, Andy, I wouldn't expect the 197 to be that fast in a straight line, but is it fun to drive?

Christian, I did a bit of write up yesterday, the car is great fun but it has a few gremlins which are a tadge annoying rattles, bad cold running, snatchy brakes. The car is going in on the 25th to have these problems looked at if they were sorted it would be A1
I haven't found the dry limit on a roundabout as yet I've bottled it before the car has let go
Rob, yeh we went to buy a Megane Diesel budget of 9K and came back with the Sport for Ł14,000 don't ask me how I have no idea

it wasn't the new one, it had little wheels on it as well, I thought it was gonna be a 320 to be honest, defintately badged 330 on the back. Maybe he wasn't trying just seemed odd to sit there in the outside lane about 2 cars length behind kind very slowly creeping up on me.
I know I was trying I had the loud pressed through the floor
