Default ABS problem

2wd saff, light doesn't go out when you start the car.

Resistance of the sensors - 3 were around 1k (IIRC) and 1 was 1M

So, it looks like a sensor fault - just checking the 1 is wrong and not the 3

Had this problem on mine some time ago had to take a sensor out and clean the face. Took out offside front and by chance it was that one that was at fault.

Check the wiring around the reservoir bottle...

On mine, I found that when the light came on, a suitable wiggle of those wires seemed to sovle the problem. To be honest, Still havent traced which particular wire/ connector was causing the issue, but it has gone out and stayed out, and is working properly!

Hope this helps

JJ

Bin the sensor and fit new. That is quite high resistance actually.

Steve,
often enough its the cable between the sensor and the inner wing that dies
due to the wheel movement.

As a last resort you could try fixing it by replacing the wire as close to the
sensor as possible but you must make sure to use robust screened cable
and make sure its firmly secured both ends and is long enough.

Not ideal but cheap to fix.
