no worrys, I asked martin to have a look at it but he was to bizzy at the time because he had to get Porkies car ready for national day , so i phoned steve and asked him go he have a look at it
he said yes bring it down no probs ........so steve rang me and said come and collect your car on staurday it's ready so i went down to collect it and stayed there most of the day
The car was running mint on all 4 and left it ticking over for about 20 mins no probs i then asked steve come on lets go for a spin , so as we were about to move off it started to run on 3 cyl again , then made a knocking noise . Steve said that does not sound right , so we took the cam/tappets out to see if we droped a valve but it never , so it was off with the head and thats when we saw the problem
in all fairness there is no point me taking the car to birmingham(reyland) or to peterborough(scs) my engine is nothing special it a normal 400 build when steve can do just as good a job as them if not better
in all fairness it is a havry engine but has been rebuilt once due to a fuel pump failer which was no fault of harveys
which Martin did fit a new piston in it and new bearings while it was apart

when i saw you at scottys that time , that noise you heard was the Cosworth racing pistons that go like that after a good few thousand mile the noise goes away when the engine is very warm
Tony
you were right mate about fate thingy don't worry i wont be going jap at all allthough i do like the evo ........but if tune that.. they will break just as bad as the fords and more exspensive to fix theres something about the old fords i just love'em
matt
no worrys i know it was a bizzy day for you lot
thanks marco

watch for over braking the rears m8, ive had 4 pots on the back before , have bias pedal box , even had to put a pressure reducer in to try and stop the backs from locking , it didnt work , was great until you pressed the clutch in then the backs locked like a good en !! i had no braking issues at all on sunday , in fact i would say outof all the diff braking setups ive had on this car ( incl 6pots up front and 4 pots at the rear ) this is defo the most balanced and efficiant yet , never let me down and not expensive at all !! goodluck m8 !

well to be honest i don't know if the AP 4 pot on the rears are going to work or not
I have the AP 6 pot and 356x36 mm none floating on the front i was planning to use the AP 4 pot with 330x32mm on the rear... i have bought the AP bias valve the one with the lever type 7 postion
i'll try it if it doesn't work then , i can always sell this kit and buy a 315 ap kit
I do like the rally AP racing rears but i couldn't get hold of any at the time
