Default top speed calculations

my mk2 escort yb puts out 400ish hp,with a t5 and final drive ratio of 3.09
could anyone tell me the theareticle9sp) top speed.sorry if its a stupid question guys

Nothing definate, but i was told that with the ratio you have in the car, a capri 2.8 i believe with the cossie gearbox etc....you are looking at 200+ mph.

think a 3.4 will be good for 150-160 with better acceleration.

or if you can go a higher ration but sacraficing top end speed but gaining lower end.

you also need to have a feild where you put in the frontal area and the CD to see how much power your car will need to reach those speeds
