Keiths Skyline ran 1.4 60ft last time out and that is quite possible even into the 1.* to 60mph.

I remember reading about that, only thing that confuses me about it is that you done it at Brunters I thought ?

Surely traction there isn't the best for fwd and with the fact your on a F28 you usually need to be in 3rd to pull 60 out, I can't see many fwd vaux's breaking into the 4's but if it was on Datron then I suppose it can only be true.

Not knocking your car Tim as it is nice but I would like to see what my mates 11 sec nova would run if your doing that well with a hell of a lot less power.

Shame he blew it up eh

No

Going for a mid to low 3 though and hopefully a 6.anything sec to 100mph soon... Nick at pf said he would come to pod with the timing gear and get a 0-60 and a 0-100 time from my car with good grip

woohoo. I come up beside and do the filming if you keep up with the lightning!! 1.63 is best 60ft to date in that on nitto555's not a drag radial or a slick

My saph ran a 1.62 60ft best. not sure on 60mph. ran in the 3's boggin at brunters. but then i had a stock T5 and 400hp so did it!!

and 3.48's at a water log'd brunters on Racelogic for Pf mag.

The F28 with 205/40/17's @ 7500rpm does the following speeds in each gear:

F28 039 065 097 128 158 190 042

If I had to stick it in third for a 0-60 it'd be about 6.5 secs

My XR3 and S1 is a 1600 CVH and gets 0-60mph in 5.4s Timmed by FastFord using Datron on 4 occasions all at brunters with shite surface.

I think thats very good compared with cars which are over powered and had massive amount of money spent on them.

I have never trusted that calculator!

re: the 11 sec Nova, is that the one thats a Phase 3.5 with a 150 shot of NOS on it? Exhaust out of rear 1/4? Must say I love that car, and it would toast me all ends up in a proper race. But on 0-60's and things over a short distance its all about finding the fine balance between outright power, and traction, something I have been lucky with!

Launches have always been a plus for me, my bottom end is over 200,000 miles old, and my turbo has seen better days. Think without a decent start I'd be doing high 13's on my engine TBH

Where do you get those figures from ?

I can tell you that on 15" wheels its nothing even close to those speeds from my experience.

susprising how much difference wheel size makes

What tyre size?

I'll do it with 195/45/15's

And for every gearbox, give me 2 secs.

Yep, Gavs nova.

Bit of a beast although nothing special about it in all honesty, it just weighs fook all and has a lot of power.

Its a monster on the road though, its also phase 3 and not quite 150hp of gas yet but once rebuilt no doubt he will push his luck a bit more

Unless your on the limter in 2nd you wont do 60mph without changing into 3rd on 15" wheels

Big wheels do make a hell of a difference dont they ! shame they handle a bit dodgy on big wheels.

Was his bottom end standard?

Might be a bit of a dummies question this, but how does he get the extra fueling for the Nitrous, when using a phase chip? Probably a simple answer to that, I'm just daft!

Whats his future plans?

I used to have 195/45/16's, they were a nice compromise....

F28 038 064 095 125 154 186 041

So it's a smidge over 7k for 60 with those tyres.
