Digital Camera feature question....
Im in the process of looking for a digital camera, and there is one particular feature i would like but havent a clue what its called!!
Basically, if you taking a moving shot (say for instance a car on a track), what is the feature called so that the car itself is clear and in focus, rather than being half way up the road and blurry like me old mans camera!!!!!
Is this a common feature on most new cameras or have i limited myself??
Cheers

Three things in my book:
-Time it takes for the flash to re-charge before you can take a picture. My camera (Sony dsc-p5) completely freezes while the flash is charging which means you can't even prepare for the next shot
-Time it takes between you pressing the button and the picture actually being taken (that will help with the cars zooming by as you said).
-Time it takes to store the picture. That largely depends on the type of storage media, and in some cases the make of it.
Good luck.

its is focus lock
All CANON have that feature press the button halfway and its set at the focal length that you was pointing at
Then wait till the car is in the viewfinder etc PRESS
and hey presto nice clear shot in the middle of the frame

BigNige, I think you will find that most cameras hold focus if you press the button halfway. There can still be a delay between the button being fully pressed and the camera taking the picture though...
