Stu,

The '50 don't and can't

...the '40 will do mid 30's on a run and mid teens round town ...Look at a tuned Cossy figures mpg and I know what I'd prefer ..in fact thats why I chose a '40 and not another Cos, but not brave enough for a '50 ..there a proper wallet hoovering biatch

Pound for pound, what would you go for? The ones above are both nice cars IMO of course

You know what Nath, if it were my money I wouldn't go for a 7......I'd prefer a 330D. The 7 would be too big for me, the 5 is plenty big enough but a bit grandaddy but the 3 is a bit of a toy as well as getting sensible gallons to the mile as opposed to mile (singluar!) to the gallon

sorry ???!!! A 2.5tonne V12 uberwagon no worse on fuel than a 1.6 litre 4pot or a 2litre YB weighing in at under half the BMW ???!!!

You sure ? If not, can I have some of those funny pills you've evidently been indulging in over the festive period !!!

30 mpg on an average run.

The engine rarely goes above 2000 rpm.

100 mph and the old girl revs at 1300 rpm using sod all juice.

Your cosworth and rs are screaming at 100 mph and caining the juice.

I have owned all three and when I say its no worse I mean, its no worse....

So get back in front of the TV and have another mince pie....

At 1300rpm on a run I can see it......but lets be honest, around town you ain't going to get anywhere near the smaller lighter cars and I don't believe for one minute you always drive 2000rpm and below must be nice and refined though I have to say, wafting along rather than having to actually wrestle with the car

Haven't bought any mince pies ta, but the Tesco Finest chocolate ice cream is going down a treat

It's about how much fuel and air it's consuming, not rpm. I can easily get 40mpg on a mway run - ickle 1.6, light car...

Lovely BM Dan Always liked 7's.
