Default 909 suspension rubbers fitting

Hi,

Has anyone got any tips for fitting the super hard 909 motorsport rubber suspension top mounts ? I have tried putting them in hot water to make them more pliable and also fairy liquid but they are so bloody stiff. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fit them.

Thanks and a happy new year.

These are a pain !!, ideally get a helper, i smeared mine in grease to fit them.

Position the bush from beneath and locate a small portion of the bush lip through the strut hole onto the bodywork, get someone else to run something like a screwdriver round the rim slowly (the bush will want to pop out so you need to keep hold of it tightly, pushing up at the same time). Hopefully the bush lip will fold over the hole and pop on.

Sounds easy but as i know it isn't !!......It will work though!!

2 thick steel plates with a 14mm bolt running through.

One on top one underneath and just wind the bolt up and they will pop in easy.

Got em done in the end. Tried the way cos jon suggested first but with a 3x3 length of wood wedged underneath the bush to the floor, some fairy liquid and hey presto

Thanks for the replies fellas.

The easiest way to do these is to get a decent bit of string and wrap it around the top lip , pass that up into the turret and while pushing the rubber into place pull the string , as it unravels it pops the lip into place, presto !
