Hi in order to fit my Stack tacho, I have to remove the clocks from my 3 door Sierra. Are there any tricks so as not to damage the speedo? I previously tried taking the clocks off, and the only thing stopping me was the connection tube/cable to the tacho and to the speedo.
Are there any special tricks to make sure I dont damage the speedo side? What sort of connection is the tacho side? Is it only a vaccum hose?
Any help mucho appreciated !

it only comes off one way, there will be a bit of the clip thats springy and this is the bit you need to squeeze
then pull and it should "hopefully" pop off
you may find that the inside of the cable will come out, this means a bit nasty mess of a clean up so make sure you factor this into the equation when doing the strip down, nothing worse than a greasy mark all over your intrior

i might be wrong but if you undo it from the gear box end it give you a bit more room to pull out the clock and see what you are doing , it worked for me on my van
