If you get it for that price the chances are it wont have a lot of programmes on it.For example microsoft word,excel etc.These programmes would be useful if she needs it for college work.

My brother works in PC World so I asked him. He says they have a shit processor and are only 20gb but at the end of the day its only £200 so ain't exactly expensive.

My parents tried to do the right thing and bought an electronic word processor and whilst a very generous thought and cost as much as a PC back in 1997/98, it was completely incompatable and caused more greif than staying back at college and typing it up. Could also come with Microsoft Works instead of Office which will cause no end of anger for non Office users of which you will be on the recieving end of!

it was a cheep lappy to use at home, the desktop cant be changed from room to room and it also requires space to use, ive already got a laptop i use that would be fine for her typing up essays apart from im always on it and i prefer to surf the net anywhere rather than be stuck in the front room

theres times she wants to do her work in our bedroom/ in Elises bedroom when im snoring ect so would have been ideal,,,,, belive it or not we already got 2 laptops that have died and we dont wanna take em to a pc shop to be charged 100 quid and get told its fooked as we already know that

i bought a apple laptop as the pc ones seemed to die and crash alot,,,, this powerbook as been no hassle tbh and is very very quick,,, we use it in the kitchen to watch dvd's when cooking,,,,,,, it gets abused alot and takes it too

My mother in law queued up from 5 this morning to get one, she had gone down there yesterday but the queue was huuuuge. She only needs it for a bit of word processing and web surfing so she was well chuffed with it. Is quite pasticy though, but the thing is so damn light I couldnt believe it !

For £199 its fine for what she needs, at the usual £299 its over priced tat.

mate the only thing about quing at 5am is i can prob make more than the extra 100 in 4 hours without leaving my home and getting cold and then buy one for the 299,,,,,,,,,, i dont mind 30 mins of waiting in the winter,,,,, but quing at 4/5am is ONLY gonna be done my me for 10 mins when waiting for a cab to take me home


im glad shes happy though,,,,,, infact i could make 100 quid in overtime for 4 hours work in my office writing emails aswell


so ive decided to buy my missus a bic pen and note pad,,,,,, had to que for a little bit but it never cost more than 4 quid and i was also queing up for my lunch at the same time so i never lost any time of my life
