if you pardon the pun, apparently this film rocks

much better as they show rocky as a 60 year old aeverage joe
adrian has popped her clogs and him paulie and the kid run a resteraunt
if you've seen the trailers you can work out the rest

whenit's out then?

just watched it... it's not that bad, worth watching.

don't go expecting any sort of twists and turns tho, it's pretty standard "rocky in fight against the odds, but comes through in the end" type stuff

Stu you have been watching too many of those adverts they play at the start of the film in the cinema with the crappy blurry handycam pirate... They aren't actually like that in real life and are usually DVD quality copies that you download off the net

(Phil who goes to the cinema once a week anyway )

Why do you say that Phil?
I have access to all the quality pirates i fancy, and teh fact is, no matter what teh picture quality, you will never get teh same experience as you do at teh cinema with teh big screen, serious soundsystem and atmosphere of enjoying it with other people. The decent "screeners" dont normally have a DTS soundtrack either in my experience... garbage.

All just my opinion of course and no offence intended to anyone.

Stu, I guess it just depends how important the cinema experience is to you. Like I say, I go to the cinema every week (unless there really is nothing on) but I don't really think it is a whole lot better than watching it on the LCD tv in the comfort of my own home with the bass turned up. The only difference with the cinema is it costs over a tenner by the time you have paid parking but you can fit more of your mates in the cinema than in the lounge

I still try and make sure big action films are seen at the cinema though, but I wouldn't class Rocky as a must see cinema experience like Lord of the Rings etc.

if i can get a film on a disc then i will do so, but if that film turns out to be one of the "big" ones, then off to the cenima i'll trotski to see what all the fuss is about

there are sertain really big films i don't even bother ooking for, transformers wil be one of them, but once i've seen it, it's always nice to have a copy to rewind and watch over and over again
the films i like i tend to get the double disc versions of anyway

i see this as selective money saving, watch everything, the crap stuff you don't bother to go and watch a the big screen, everything else you wait till it comes out on dvd or sky

but i do try to go to the cenima at least once a week too, but the prices are starting to get a bit much, especially the food
