Na i dont agree with that ive had 2 burn out on 2 different saphs and it sonly just started doing it and when the iscv is taken from the throttle body and the ignition is switched on nothing happens they usually move
Well ive checked the wiring to it and everything is ok there and as the saying goes nothing lasts forever, when i had the same problem before i changed it for a new one and it worked fine again.
Ive tested it and there is a connection but not very strong and the rod is seized solid, i have tried cleaning it out ive got the plunger in it to move freely again but i think its to late so if anyone has one i have pennies waiting cheeRS
The rod doesn`t move, thats why it is siezed mate......The plunge disc moves on the rod,i have never had one burn out yet, they always recover if you strip and clean them properly.....

i didnt notice he said that,, yes the rod is there to hold it all together! the slug is what moves up and down
Well the ones i have had before, the centre rod with the nut on the end moved in and out to pull the slide valve open. as when you take it apart it is just sprung loaded underneath to return it to itt set position ??
