I Always have to look when i see one nowadays, as its a rare sight..
I remember driving Comedy Dan's back to his house when he still had it, and a couple of little kids immediately started yelling "LOOK A COSSIE!!!"
But the car i love seeing.. and a few mates of mine do too.... is a car that is still used as an everyday car, by an oldish bloke in the next village, and its a red immaculate 3 door sierra 1.6L
Its just the most unbelievable sight, its an old B reg car and still looks good, and It must be one of the rarest cars to still see driving.
(Even though i have the same car parked up in my garage, but mine doesnt work

just don't see the point of you giving the gt-four and its owners a bad name.i was just trying to resume calm, and if it takes a bit of arse kissing then so be it.
silverspeed,wrc_gt4,pete or whatever you go by the name of,you do not represent a true gtfour owner as you have never liked the car since buying it.please do us the favour and keep your opinions to yourself, sell your car and do one!!!

Hi Lads
I have got to have a say about the Gt4 ST205 they are no doubt great cars , i do like them alot and i would have one
you lot slagging them really are not doing yourselfs any favours they were over engineered and they can take alot of abuse when modded without changing too many parts
these cars were nearly 30k when they cam out
No offence to any escort cos owner but being honest all the escort cosworth is a shortend sierra 4wd hardly any engineering went into it
they are basically the same running gear underneath as a 4wd sierra with uprated bushes and 50mm shorter
Toyota lads
The Escort Rs Cosworth body is totaly different to the normal mk5 shell
it's unique one off
the only thing from a mk5 shell that is the same is the front lights and the doors /sunroof thats it
saying all this the escort still does it for me for looks
the reason why i have kept my 3dr for so long is because i still love the look of it .proper car when they came out
it's a proper 80's icon and a piece of motoring heritage thats one thing the Fords had
I dont like any of the new fords to be honest they have lost the plot abit they just catering for the family car now
cheers marco

I think the person who drives a Cosworth I find interesting.
I see 3 types.
1) The old school touring car fan/club racer/enthusiast - you take care of your car like a race horse, an on going high maintenence hobby. You experiment with bushes and anti-roll bars to get some more speed, also you keep reminding yourself to get the car under sealed before winter comes.
2) The chav - 80's pin up posters of whale tail cars, and your local drug dealer comes racing into the council estate to show his ride prior to a transaction, you grow up aspiring to own one and be just like Kev. When you do raise the Ł2k you need for a 4 door Cossie, you treat yourself to obligatory wheel and BOV upgrade, and despite that mongoose system - the car is making 40 bhp less than standard, and why is my steering wheel wobbling at 60 mph??
3) The insecure, anti-import, anti-foreign car brigade. Real inferiority complex, cant stand the thought of "fooking jap crap" Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000 or Impreza STI Spec C out performing your "super chipped t34" chariot to 60 mph by 0.2 seconds, or lambasting such cars if you did beat one in a boring high speed motorway race despite that with a capable driver these cars would have annihilated you on a series of bendy roads or a race track.

How about the owner that just likes his car as its fast, easy to work on and good fun to drive, at not a massive cost?

Such a funny post been pizzin my sides
I mean to be honest celica gt4 are not that bad in my opinion ?
BUT
To even consider slating Cosworths means you know NOTHING about cars period
I couldnt care less if it broke or got a little rusty as i would get it sorted its the fact of COSWORTH FULL STOP!
When i get my 3dr i will never sell if so only to buy a escort RS COSWORTH and will probably get buried in it!
If the celica was a lot faster i couldnt give a flying toss as a general car fanatic i cant believe how many morons know fookall about cars !
I do not expect everyone to like the same cars but not to like cosworths is just complete IGNORANCE and you should have a serious RETHINK as you are fookin DISGRACE to the performance circles.
20 years plus and still the biggest followers
US lot must know nowt??
Sorry the GT4 site has?

I like GT4s, but the last one I drove was dull as fuck.
Having said that, a standard EsCos isn't exactly going to make your balls tingle either.
Much prefer the YB over the 3SGTE, and I've got a 3S powered car!
Good cars though - can't knock em.....

Well this thread has turned to shite lol
Im sure it was a post asking what you think about cossies?
not
'do you like GT4s'
and yes i Do actually, my mate had one, crashed it,
and then bought 2 more 205 shape ones for him and the wife.

Always nice to see one on the road but I dont know if I think that much until I can see what condition the car is in. If its a shed of cossie I just dont care but if its a well maintained one I smile from ear to ear.
Bit hard to spot while driving though.
