Default headwork to achieve a healthy 400hp.

hi all,

what sort of headwork would you recommend for getting a healthy 400hp on a cossie? i'm going for a bd14 inlet and a standard exhaust cam, but wondering is it worth going for a full CNC porting job, or should i just smooth out the ports and polish them myself (i have had previous experience doing this with a CVH, with good results ), i'm just a tad scared that i'll bugger up my expensive cossie head .

cheers

pay someone reputable to do it mate!its not like a cvh head where if you fuck it up its down the scrappers and 10 quid! you really dont want a 400bhp engine to blow up cos you saved some cash on one of the most important parts of the build!my 400bhp head had EXTENSIVE work done to the ports, both inlet manifolds and turbo housing!not just an amateur blend out the sharp bits affair!
