Default ICE question regarding subs

ok here goes.

just bought an audi cabriolet (insert hairdresser/gay jokes here). nice car, shite sound system!

i'm wanting to put a sub in the boot but the boot is bloody tiny! wouldn't even fit ya grans shopping trolley in there!

i've got a 12" pioneer sub in my cossie which sounds awesome but i had to build a pretty big box to get the right air volume to get it to sound right, don't really want to lose the whole boot on the audi so big sub box i'm trying to avoid!

would i be right in thinking if i went for a sub which uses a vented enclosure then i could go for a smaller enclosure?

also does anyone know of a good sub to go for to meet my needs!?

cheers in advance

pm Deadringer on here. He has 2 JL Audio 12" subs in his Audi Convertible and they sound superb (for a softtop).
