yes he need a paypal account and you will get the 4% charge
better way to do it is take him into your bank and pay straight into your account with his credit card

No he doesnt need a PayPal account

The transaction will cost you 3.4% to withdraw the money from your paypal into your bank account, so you could add 3.4% to the price of the parts.

Also, as above he could pay direct into your account - I find via Internet banking to be an excellent service.

I use Paypal for my site (shamless plug) and it says you dont need a Paypal account to pay money, only to recieve the money. It hasnt always been this way, I am not too sure when it was relased but its VERY helpful. I'll try and find a link or something to confirm this

why don't you just tell him to stick his credit card in a cash machine and get the money out! then let him worry about the charges and interest etc...
