Wastegate rattling??
For the past 2 weeks ive had a strange rattling in my car, and a loss of boost pressure(2wd saph)
I thought it was the exhaust cos i needed a clamp.
Tonight i got a new clamp and it was still rattling. So i started the car and let it run. The noise seemed to be coming from the turbo. I played about with the wastegate and the rattling stopped (ie when it was opened)
My question is, is this a common occurance and how is the best way to fix it?
I have a crack on the exhaust housing and was gonna change it anyway, but would the wastegate rattling/being loose cause a loss of boost pressure?
