Insurance advice please
Would be gratefull if people could point me in the right direction please.
Basically I'm takin me Escort of the road for the rest of the winter, Now i have me mates Fiesta to use while he's in China till the end of next year, the logbook is in his moms name and she's not looking to change that
The tax is about to run out on it aswell
Now obviously there has to be a policy for just the Fiesta alone or should/can i ad it to the escort policy?? its only a 1.1 so its no big money
Im pretty sure i cant tax it with my insurance as it is can i ? even though im covered to driive any other car with consent?
Basically any advice would be a help before i confuse myself even more !!!!
cheers

Right, basically mate if your friends's mum isnt willing to change the logbook into your name then she has to have the insurance policy in her name and have you as a named driver.
You can't 'legally' insure the car without owning it as there has to be something called 'Insurable Interest' involved when you insure something
She really needs to tax it aswell as she'l have the logbook and MOT, just let her get on with it and give her the money.
