oh forgot to say i first got interested in cossies when i saw my first one ever around the start of august 1986..it was a black 3door, took me another 3 years before i owned my fisrst one.....i actually wish ford had never made them because i,d be a lot better off than i am now
still, i,m cured of my cossie obsession now..onwards and upwards

Was hooked on cossies just after my dad bought an orriginal3-door from ford in 1988, was just a boy then, can remember me saying that i want one off those when i gro up.... and yep, got me an escort in 2000

The escort cossies dominated rallying when I were a lad, then on my paper round one day after I had forgotten about them a bit one came off a slow roundabout, squatted down and promptly fooked off into the distance. At that point I realised I was having me one of them! One day

Going for a ride when I was about 12 in a 4x4 rouse sport saff (think it was number 96 maybe... if its still out there black or grey). Scared the fook outa me!
All I remember is someone saying "can you feel that acceleration pete?" and my uncle saying "Feel it he's in the bloody boot".
From that point my dream car wasnt a ferrari or lambo blah blah blah it was a ford sierra!

we were cruising along our local bypass when a guy on a R1 pulled up beside us ...The owner of the car said 'go on floor it!' so I did.......
you should have seen the look in the bikers eyes as we crept away from him!
to say he was surprised was an under statement!!!

I was brought up with Fast Fords, my dad imported a 2door mk5 cortina shell from Germany when they first came out and built it up himself with a 2.1 Burtons bottom end and a Howley Racing head and twin 45's and a police transit gearbox as they were 4 speed with over drive, his mates had the likes of TT 2.8i capri's mk1 & 2 escorts one being a genuine twincam and a friend owning a capri RS2600 that was one of the top boss's at Halewood plant. Then the first time I seen a 3dr cossy was at the 85 motor show when then I said to my Dad one day I will have one of those and as usual at the age of ten I got the usual parents pat on the head and he said yes ok son !!!
What a differece 20 years makes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
