Hello all. I've been working since several weeks on this issue we had that logged every user randomly and several times a day, making that you all had to log in again every time you visited PF, and also even while browsing when you were randomly logged out without doing anything.

I rewrote entirely the way sessions are handled, and since 1 am this morning UK time, this modification is up and running. I now need your input for this simple question :

Are you still facing automatic logging out since 1 am this morning ? (not BEFORE, i KNOW this.)

Haven't been logged out so far Pet.

The times I was before were so completely random and sometimes it didn't happen everyday, so need a little more time to monitor it.

Fingers crossed that you have cured it though.... well done.

Ive been on line now for about an hour and it's been fine so far tuseday it was logging me out everytime i changed rooms

 

i have to log back in when i only close the window that pf is in

dunno if this helps or if its meant to be like that but its beenlike it from the begining

 

erm... read what i said. it should have changed since this morning, unless you didn't check "remember me" when logging in , which is a totally different matter

 

perhaps once a week here but nothing so far today so it's all here

 

Couple of random ones this week but nothing since 1am for me and ive been on here a few times already today

 

One plus point in your favour Pet... I found that everytime I used Disk Cleanup in System Tools, I would get logged out even though cookies aren't deleted using that. I have just done a Disk Cleanup and I haven't been logged out

 

Damn.... hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got logged out @ 14:28pm. I just read one thread and opened another and found I'd been logged out

 

mmmmh... let's see if it's an isolated one or not. So far it's still ok for me

 

i had to log in this evening .. will let you know if i get logged out

Can you make this thread a 'sticky' Pet, so those who suffered the random logging out can monitor it over say a 7 day period?

 

Hi Pet, out of the 7 times i have visited i was auto logged out 3 times i think.

Pet - been spot on here chap - I have only needed to log back in when I clear my cookies. I didn't even know there was a problem prior to this! If there was, it didn't affect me

 

Good at Mo Pet been using three computers in all today, desktop, laptop and work, will post if any issues

This morning will be a normal issue if you werent on late last night as the session table was worked on.

 

What do you call late? I was online and logged in until about 11-11.30pm ish.

 

to eb honest, ive never had a probel being loged out automatically, the site remembers me both at work and home on 2 different pc's without ecev having to re enter my user name - only if i delete my cookies does it log me out.

 

unsure what time it was to be honest, about 3am we went to bed, (well, 4am for Froggie. lol) so maybe 1:30ish...
