Trying to put some new albums on my sony MP3 player and for some reason they wont go from my libary to the actual MP3 player......

Just saying in the connect program that they are "Waiting for export" to the mp3 player

Ipods are great, but itunes is shit, so I wouldn't get an ipod myself....

that said I wouldn't get a Sony Mp3 player either - as with one you are forced to use Son'ys software (IIRC, SonicStage) to transfer music. And also IIRC, the reason you have to use this software is cos they odn't play MP3 as such - the files are transcoded into ATRAC3 file types - the same audio filetypes as minidiscs - a musical data format designed by Sony.

But sorry Mark - I don't know why it's not working, and I need to be there and fook around with it to sort out how to make it work

I have the cool purple 6gig Walkman jobbie, and yes, the Connect software wouldn't work so I use the latest version of Sonic Stage, and the player is awesome, far cooler than an Ipod imo! If you don't want to reduce the quality then the files go across as MP3 AFAIK its only when you compress them they convert to ATRAC.

But sorry mate, have never had such problem.

You need itunes to be able to sync the tracks between the PC and the ipod.....

You can still play and organise through other media players. i have, though went back to itunes as i think its ok imo.

Isn't it sonic stage you are using? I've never had a problem with it and its a great piece of kit
