BMW E46 M3 SMG2 version?
...i cant help thinking every time i see one i want one NOT good news i know...but they look great.
..are they REALLY a fantastic car?..Is the SMG any good on this model?
..Convertables seem to go for the same price and look even better...do they suffer the same flexing as the e36 m3 cab?
...is phoenix yellow a bad colour..i love it

Yellow convertible on 19's..awesome..smg 2002 about 30k-50k miles with TV etc etc around 21k
Rhys not sure yet
..i then see one on 18's in say silver and they dont look as appealing
Must say though atleast you wont see many replicas like the E36 version due to that wider body

You need the 19's definately Phil.
And as far as the SMG2 goes, I love it although I think mine is even quicker than the std M3 but I stand to be corrected.

my cousin has an estoril blue one cab which i think is smg. he loves it.
Another mate of mine has bought the same but in manual as hated the smg stating the gear change was too slow.
I like em as they are a very good all rounder but are far too common for my liking.

I totally love our M3 convertible. I only get to drive the M3 to work one day a week but it really is a world apart from other cars I have driven.
My normal daily drive is a 1.2 punto so you can imagine how nice it is to drive the M3.
I'd be quite happy for Scott to get rid of the M3 and the Escos so that we could get a CSL but that's another story on another thread!

They are poofs cars if they are cabriolets. Why take a perfectly good coupe and then chop the roof off so you can pose?
Sorry but I don't see the point in that.
I got my RS turbo at 18.. How many of you had one at that age? Money isn't anything to do with it, I doubt I can get insured on an E46, plus if you saw my thread, i said how good they were after going out in one.

Well aren't we lucky then..
As said, they're gorgeous cars and I want one, but no way would I have one with no roof.. Only a hard top convertible I'm afraid.
Just don't like convertibles in any way shape or form. Ok.. maybe a modena.

As Pete has said, I am a bit sick of the M3 but not because its a bad car but just because I miss not having my Escos out in over a year. Some little niggly things are doing my head in too, noisy shocker, front wheel wobble at bout 90mph but its going back to the dealer to get sorted out. The only thing that shocked me is how Pete left me standing for dead in his 420bhp 4x4 saff, maybe I was in the wrong gear but it just aint as quick as I would have wanted. A CSL on the otherhand is mega but doesnt mean to say that 'verts are gay!!
Heres a pic of mine
they are top cars though
