good point, im just thinking in FWD terms as thats all im used to
would it be down to the diff simply not coping with the power beeing put through it
on another note any one what the split is on the drive on the car, are they 50/50 standard ?

Its possible i guess, seems less likely on a transverse setup though, although obvioulsy the prop will still be exerting a force through the tranny box that shifts torque sideways through the shell.
One would hope that the shell is FAR too stiff for that to be a big issue though?

an open diff dont really explain it, as its always turns one way

An open diff potentially means one wheel turning (hence still with grip) and the other one spinning, so it acts like tank tracks where its driving more on one side than the other and rotates the car.
Thats what nearly every open diff FWD car does anyway, so seems logical it would still apply.

Not always the least traction, also due to shorter shaft transmitting more power, or a cv joint having more play that results in a shock load or many other reasons.
He might just have a habbit of sitting with the wheel turned a TINY bit one way too of course, lol

I was standing with Rocket Ronnie once and we were watching Simon launch... Ronnie said out loud 'why does Norris always turn the steering wheel left when he launches... He would go alot faster if he kept the fucking wheel straight. is it a nervous twitch? Does he want me to have a go and show him how its done?'
He said it TOTALLY Seriously and was completely dead pan which made it even funnier

Deffo the front diff thing actually...
Thats from one of the guys he came with to SantaPod that day.
The going off to one side is down to the fact that Si doesn't use an uprated diff in the front, its down to the torque, or so he says anyway

Like i said earler in the post i seen it a while ago on the way up to aberdeen and it just looks an animal on the road, i even slowed down to get a proper look. He was crawling at 60 prob to stay off boost and save fuel as wouldnt fancy his chances of making it all the way up that road if he didnt.

The Granada thats been mentioned is very impressive, I delt with him to sort his 4 link out while at Hausers a few years back, H got a similar set up to what I done with my saph 4yrs ago. as it happens I'm doing a MK1 granada with the same motor (LS1) for a customer. Driverbility is awsome and the aircon and power steering still works.

the car can also legally run down to 7.50 also as next year MSA rules/Regs are being enforced. So i'm stocking up on cro-moly as there's ALOT of fast jap cars that will not be allowd to race at the jap meets unless they get a propper cage that meets MSA spec.
this includes 11 second cars!!!

As far as i am aware the last time it was mapped was on the 1/4 Mile so there wasnt the ability to map it completely, and it wasnt mapped at full boost either
![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/shocked.gif)
Once mapped you can only imagine how much better its going to be ...
He did a few 9.2's that day initially when mapping....vid of one of them is here..........

Apparently Keith was running 1.4's to 60ft during that testing on a very cold day (i.e. serious lack of traction on track). Jesus.... I was getting 1.6's to 60ft in the same conditions and that is deemed at being very very good, but those 60ft times are just in a different league!

Kieth, i saw you at Avon on 15/10/06, and saw you run 2 9.0 @ 156+mph,
What boost/power was you using that day, and 60ft's?
You/car looked so fast, yet not very loud, which is odd to see on the strip.
