How much Fault Code Readers ?? and where do i get one ??

Will it cover say from the Sapph Cos right up to My G/F's Fiesta Zetec S ???

i know halfords sell some readers but dunno what they do or for what cars.

 

i got a draper one from ebay - was cheap but no idea how the fuck it works

 

only ones ive seen are snap on ones recently and there £1200 or something silly, i have no idea what the cheap halfords ones are like though

dont know of theres any ford stuff that does the same as vagcom, which is laptop based and covers all the vag stuff though ?

 

im sure im right in saying that some chipped cosworths the fault codes wont work on them
