Default 1/2 an Escort cossie on Ebay

Was looking through Ebay and spotted this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

Just wondering what that would be useful for as i'm not really into bodywork, what does everyone think?

It would make a pretty fancy ashtray?

hope no-one welds that to a smashed cossie though, not going to be very safe.

thats why they sell these front end's in one. , saves replacing the inner wings etc...

The right hand drive bulkhead can be useful for converting a left hand drive shell to right hand drive

if i had a smashed escort and needed the inner wings, slam panel etc....then Ł300 would not be too bad.

This is cheap ,,,, think about it the bulkhead pannel is worth Ł250
The inner wings are worth Ł250 each and the front pannel is worth Ł100
Remember these arnt available from ford anymore
How else can you repair a damaged escoss when ford cant get you the pannels .
I have sold loads of secondhand escoss pannels this year alone

Fair Point
But who insures an Escos third party? If it needed a bulkhead or inner wing the insurance would write the car off and pay out, but I suppose someone would repair it but I know I wouldn't like a performance car that had a bulkhead welded in with a DIY mig welder

Although a few years ago I was doing the same, but of course I am older and wiser now

he's gopt it becasue from alot opf places you can by whole front ends on pallets! that way you get the engine and all stuff related to it! i dont think they sell them for panels! but as said it is handy seeing as they arent availiable from ford and this way you know they are genuine!

back end was prob crushed as front dont look to badly damaged!

same reason as you dont see 2 halfs of the same car in a scrap yard (cars cut to get people out!) as it would be two easy to cut and shut again!

Cossy abuser
What a stupid coment from you ,,,,,, dont you yourself race cars
A bulkhead pannel is wanted for the L/H/D/ cossie shells that are still available , and also i have been aproched by insurance companys to supply unavailable panels to save scrapping a perfectly repairable car that has minor pannel damage ,
And also if you are worried about welding second hand pannels into a car get someone who can do it properly for you IF YOU CANT DO IT , Call me as i will do it for you ,,
